Veterans Annual Christmas Tree Lighting

Elks Lodge #1679, Sanford, NC - Three Elks lodges within the East Central Region of North Carolina joined forces to support the annual lighting of an Elks-donated Christmas tree at the Fayetteville Veterans Affairs (VA) Community Living Center. This collaboration between the lodges resulted in the donation of a live 10-foot tree, as well as refreshments for the event, which was attended by approximately 15 elderly veterans and 20 supporters. The unity of these lodges plays a crucial role in supporting both the Community Living Center and local transient homeless veterans who are seeking assistance. This event highlights the ongoing commitment of the Elks lodges to our veterans and their well-being during the holiday season and beyond.

From L to R. Aaron Barth, Veterans Activities Chair for Sanford, NC Lodge #1679, Shannon Fair, Veterans Activity Chair for Fayetteville, NC and the East Central Chairperson, and David Rudd, Veterans Activity Chair for Southern Pines, NC Lodge #1692 with the Elks donated tree.
